Event Information
Population movement has always been a critical factor for understanding the make up of our state and is important for effective decision making for both people and government. In these unprecedented times, we need to consider innovative and creative ways we can accurately measure population movement. Traditional sources, such as the ABS Census and Regional Internal Migration Estimates only provide limited point in time assessments. However changes in the patterns of population movement (where people move from and move to) can show how and where demand for government services and infrastructure provision are changing.
